Day 94 – Basement Tavern

The Basement Tavern is one of my favorite happy hour spots around. Now I would never go there at night on the weekend because you’ll feel like you’re in a sardine can from what I hear. They play music there on the weekends so that’s why I’m assuming it would get packed. Their happy hour used to be AMAZING. Now it’s just decent. Their food menu has changed and not much of a deal, but they have some good drinks on special. Their happy hour is 5-8 everyday except all night long on Sundays. What’s amazing though is like the Daily Pint, they are the only other bar in Santa Monica that I am aware of that has Pappy Van Winkle. They have a huge selection of whiskey. I highly recommend checking it out.
