Day 356 – Double Take

I must say that I was quite impressed with this place. Most people who know me know that I like all different types of bars, but preferably places that don’t pour you a weak drink and charge you twice as much. So usually I stick with dives, but this is definitely an exception. Located in the Palomar hotel in Westwood, I was expecting just a fancy overpriced hotel bar, but this place was an exception. It’s swank, beautiful, take their mixology seriously (unlike most places that try to pretend to be mixologist), but they also have a cool game room. Imagine a dive bar that has shuffleboard, TV’s, skeeball, etc. But then imagine it’s a high end hotel. Very sleek, great customer service, and so awesome that I didn’t mind paying $16-$17 a drink. This is definitely one of those exceptions. Awesome place.
