Day 235 – Shooterz Bar

So you’ll notice I have been going to a lot of places in the San Fernando Valley. The reason for this is I was under contract for a gig out that way and during lunch I’d go to the bar. The problem is I was running out of bars to go to that were opened during the day. So my co-worker was out on a mission to find one that was open and was within a short enough distance to rush over there for some drinks before going back to work. And of course he found this bar called Shooterz. The outside sign is broken because it look like someone put a rock through it. The inside is definitely a dive. The bartender was nice but had a voice like the sisters of Marge Simpson, but nice enough. They have a Thai restaurant next door where you can order food and eat it at the bar. Every now and then I like to go off the liquid diet and consume some calories other than booze. I said “occasionally”, don’t start thinking this is a regular occurrence. It’s a dive which I love, but keep in mind that it’s probably the only place without air conditioning. I would suggest going to The Rabbit Hole. It has an Alice and Wonderland theme to it. Not a dive, but they have nice cold a/c.
