Day 360 – Rainbow Bar & Grill

Anyone who has lived in Los Angeles for any length of time knows about the Rainbow Bar & Grill on Sunset. It’s a part of history and was one of the hotspots back in the 80’s. Nowadays it’s anything but. This used to be my regular spot when I first started going to bars. They poured strong, was in Hollywood but not the typical Hollywood crowd, got to hang out with Lemmy from Motorhead every weekend, and the food was actually good. The problem with this place is I always felt like I was going to catch something just by touching the walls. This was back in about 2004-2005. I hadn’t been back in ages and it’s honestly just trying to hold on for dear life. The entire downstairs is pretty much dedicated to Lemmy, but it’s pretty obvious that they are just trying to find a way to make money off of that. While I’m thankful for the fun times I had there over the years, maybe I would suggest checking it out just for the history, but if you’re looking for a place to drink at and nothing more, I’d look elsewhere.
