Day 131 – Brennan’s

Brennan’s is an Irish bar located in Marina Del Rey that is known for it’s turtle races. Every Thursday they would have turtle races there and would bring in a huge crowd. It was an Irish/dive bar that had reasonable drinks and a good happy hour. Then they decided to remodel the place and try to make it more upscale which was a HUGE mistake on their part. They alienated their clientele, tried to appeal to a different demographic (epic fail), and then they decided to only do turtle races once a month rather than once a week. They have a turtle sanctuary out back and they say it’s for the turtles well-being. You are throwing so much of your business away by doing this. Here’s an idea that doesn’t take Einstein to figure out, how about you just get more turtles and rotate them out so they are only doing it once a month? Just on the stupidity alone I can’t go back.
