Well everyone knows about Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. I wouldn’t normally use a place like this as a bar, but it turns out they have a decent bar and I was in the mood for a Lava Flow. My friend and I were at the Santa Monica pier and there were few options and time was limited so we stopped by. In all my years living near one it was the first time I had ever been in. For a chain it kind of reminded me of Island’s, where I was surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did. Sure, I’d prefer a dark quiet bar with strong drinks but every now and then I like to mix it up. And the food I had was pretty tasty. So if you are in the mood for a lava flow, or some specialty type drink, stop on in and have some apps while you’re at it. Nothing fancy, but will hit the spot. Unless you’re a drunk like me, then maybe you’ll need to go to another bar afterwards.
