Day 6 – Sonny McLean’s Irish Pub

Sonny McLeans is an Irish sports bar in Santa Monica. While I can understand why some people may like the place, I, on the other hand, did not find it to be a place that I would be going back to. I’m the kind of guy who likes the bars quiet enough to where I can have a conversation with my friends, have a comfy chair, and a strong drink. This place is quite loud, crowded, hard to get a drink, and the layout of the bar is poorly designed in my opinion.   Then again it’s a sports bar, so what should I expect? I’m not blaming the bar or the owners, just not my personal preference. Side note: They have 40 beers on tap, live music Tue, Thur and Fri, karaoke on Wed, Sat and Sun. Sounds like Monday is the only night of silence.
