Day 240 – Ashland Hill

This place claims to call itself a “beer garden” but in reality it isn’t. First off the bar is quite small, they only have a few beers on tap, a horrible selection and the prices are ridiculously high. Even high end hotel bars are cheaper than this place. Honestly the only reason to come to this place is if you have a dog and you’re looking to eat on the patio. I can’t judge on the food since I haven’t had it, but that’s the only reason I can see going. The service was nice, but if you are looking to go to a place for beer, I’d walk a block away to Library Alehouse. Yes, they have a full bar with a couple brands for each kind of booze, but if you are looking for a place to drink that has hard booze, there are a couple other great spots nearby that I’d go to instead, such as M Street Kitchen, Enterprise Fish Company, or Basement Tavern.
