Day 287 – Lares

Well here is another Mexican restaurant in Santa Monica that I thought I’d check out. I was told this place is a little different because they have an upstairs section with a nice bar. It definitely has a nice feel to it. But most importantly the drinks (I had a margarita) were strong and large. How can you go wrong with that? I haven’t had the food so I can’t judge on that, but there are a couple other Mexican restaurants with bars about a mile up the road called The Talpa and Don Antonio’s both of which have excellent food, but their bar is nothing special. Talpa’s bar is definitely better than Don Antonio’s but I still like this one the best.
